REPAIRS TO ST CLEMENT'S

Work on the roof and castellations has been completed. The loose stonework on the parapets was taken down and then reconstructed. The North Transept roof and South Ailse were re-slated and the hopper heads, rainwater gutters and downpipes cleaned.

The East window of the Beaupre Chapel was in a precarious state and emergency repairs were undertaken in mid-January 2017 by Susan McCarthy of Auravisions. Further work restored one of the 'lost' parts of the window, the lovely finch, one of two finches in the stained glass in St Clement's.

There are currently two grant applications for restoration work under consideration. If successful, the money will go towards the full restoration of the glass in the Beaupre Chapel.
